I trained at The Clare Maxwell Hudson School, where I had the opportunity to be taught by Clare herself, who has achieved international recognition in her field. I have completed postgraduate training in advanced massage techniques, Indian Head Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Holistic Facials. In addition to my own private practice, I have worked at The Sanctuary, the 5-star ladies' day spa in Covent Garden, Calmia spa and Revival holistic centre in Chiswick.
My interest in massage and complementary therapies began around twelve years ago, when I was training as a dancer. Massage is hugely beneficial, to both relieve and rejuvenate tired limbs and aching muscles. Having also worked in the media and publishing industries, I am sympathetic to the needs of the tired and overworked professional. I am experienced in on-site massage at the office and at events, where I believe it can be utilized to great effect.
During my diploma, I worked at a rehabilitation centre for stroke patients. I found this an immensely rewarding experience and am very interested in how massage can make a difference to clients with disabilities.
I treat a diverse range of client complaints, from those with chronic illnesses, back and neck pain and conditions such as IBS, insomnia and arthritis, along with those who simply use holistic therapies to unwind and relax.
I believe in the holistic approach, taking into account physical, mental and emotional symptoms in order to heal the whole being. I believe that healing energy within the body can only flow freely when you allow yourself to relax, and abandon all of the stresses and strains of modern life. It really is amazing to see the positive difference holistic therapies can make even after only a few minutes.
"The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future, or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly."
