reflexology-in-pregnancy

I have trained in pre-conceptual, pregnancy and postnatal care with Louise Keet, Principal of The London School of Reflexology and author of “The Reflexology Bible” and many other books.

It takes a little time to prepare your body for pregnancy, ideally 3 to 4 months before conception, this gives your body time to balance hormones and to make nutritional / lifestyle changes so that it is in the best condition to achieve a healthy pregnancy. I would recommend having reflexology treatments once a week for twelve weeks, or if not possible, once every two weeks. This allows time to create the optimum body ecology to support your body to a healthy and viable pregnancy.

Conception is a complex process. A woman’s hormones must be correct for the egg to develop normally so that it can be fertilised. Stress and hormonal disorders such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (P.C.O.S.), Fibroids, Endometriosis and irregular periods can affect fertility. Reflexology not only helps the body to balance hormones, it’s also an opportunity to de-stress and a time for relaxation.

Fertility reflexology and nutritional / lifestyle changes can greatly improve your fertility and the chances of getting pregnant, so during a thorough consultation we can go through any lifestyle changes that can help your body achieve a healthy and happy baby.

Fertility reflexology can be used as a stand-alone treatment to enhance your natural fertility or with conventional treatments, such as Clomid, with fully medicated cycles of IUI, IVF, ICSI as well as with donor eggs.

Fertility reflexology may assist by directing the flow of vital energy to where it is needed by balancing and restoring health and reducing the impact of stress. The whole person is treated and not the specific conditions.
